Dr Alcott trained and qualified as a clinical psychologist at Exeter University after studying Psychology at Reading University. Following further study and research at the University of Surrey he completed Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Dr Alcott has extensive clinical experience in a variety of settings and services. His NHS experience includes posts in Exeter, Torbay, Coventry, Weald of Kent and Surrey where he currently holds a post as Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist in the Neuro-Rehabilitation service at the Bradley Unit, Woking Hospital.
He was a Consultant at Unsted Park Rehabilitation Hospital in Surrey for over ten years including its Cognitive Rehabilitation Programme for Acquired Brain Injury as Head Psychologist before becoming the programme’s Clinical Director.
He has also worked with members of the Armed Forces at the MoD’s rehabilitation facility, Headley Court and with children and adolescents referred to the Community Assessment Services at The Children’s Trust, Tadworth.
Currently he is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.
